Eligibility under the scheme

To apply under this scheme, it is most important that the age of the female applicant should be 18 years. Also, if the applicant woman’s family already has an LPG connection under this scheme, then she will not be eligible. The beneficiaries of Ujjwala scheme are given free LPG gas connection, gas stove and filled cylinder. Also, the government provides the first refill free of cost to the beneficiaries. This scheme is being run in collaboration with the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas.

How to apply online

First of all go to the official website of Ujjwala Yojana at pmuy.gov.in.

Here you can choose between Indane, Bharat Gas and HP as per your convenience.

After that fill all the details carefully.

You can also download the form.

After this, fill it and submit it to the gas agency near your house.

After document verification, you will be issued LPG gas connection.

Required documents

E-KYC of the applicant is necessary for connection under the scheme.

BPL ration card or ration card issued by the state government, in which there is proof of being below poverty line.

Aadhar card, Voter ID card is required.

Bank account details are required.

Keep a passport size photograph with you.
